Since 1985, Laurie, her husband Scott, and three children have lived in the Wilmette - Glenview IL area. She is active in many school, church and community programs. Laurie joined the Wilmette Arts Guild in its early development and became the Guild’s third president. For the last ten years she has chaired the WAG Scholarship and Student Art Show.
For many years, Laurie has run Backyard Art in the summer for students ages 6-13. They are one week sessions that teach art basics in a variety of media. She also teaches art classes to students in area elementary and church schools.
